よくできた絵本だとおもいます。

種の数が、きちんと正しく絵本に描かれていて感心します（子供と一緒に全部数えました）。

掛け算が分かってくると、2倍になるということがどれほどすごいことか、分かるようになります。子供にも分かりやすく、イメージしやすいようで、安野さんの絵のすばらしさが感じられます。

働かなくても生きていけるからとぐうたらするのではなく、勤勉に働くことで豊かな実りを得られ、ゆとりを持ち、家族を得て、幸せになれる、備えは大切である、という事も学べる良い話だと思います（もちろんそれだけが幸せの形ではありませんが）。

数の増え方を学べるのはもちろんですが、いつもと違う事をしたら何が起こるのか。。。

どんどん増えていく種に子供達は単純に大喜び。　何もせず、同じ事をずっと繰り返していたら同じ結果しか得られない、それを少し我慢して、いつもとは少し違うことをしたら。。。
登場人物も怠け者から忙しく働く（働かなければいけない状況になる）人物に変身。

我が家の小学校１年生の息子は、「何かを少し我慢したり、あるいは、同じ物でも違う取り扱いをすると、違う結果、大きな収穫になる。」という事を具体的に学んだようです。　日常の小さい出来事（毎日の宿題、毎朝の早起き、他人との受け答えなど）に、いつか態度が反映されてくれるといいな。。。

大きく飛躍するチャンスって以外に目の前にあるのかもしれません。もう種を受け取っているのかもしれない。　枝を大きく伸ばし、花や実をつけるにはどうすればいいのか、大人にとっても、読めば読むほど考えさせられる絵本です。

数のありかただけではなく、人生のあり方まで学べる、そんな本です。

１０年前に、こどもに買い与えた本です。
懐かしくて本棚から取り出してみたら、ああ、こんなに
すてきな本だったのかと、うれしくなりました。
簡単な数の考え方を、わかりやすく説明する絵本なのですが、
考える事で、貧しい人でも豊かになれること、
人生には色々な出来事があるということも、
こどもだけでなく、おとなも教えられる本です。
タネが金色なのが、シンプルな絵の中で、効果的です。
安野さんが書かれているように、私も
｢種｣とか｢卵｣とか、命の源に不思議な魅力を感じます。
これは、一粒のたねを地面にうめることから始まる、
１０年間のお話ですが、私の１０年の実りはどれほどのものか、
そして、私にとっての「せんにん」は誰なのか、
そんなことまで考えさせられます。
