本書は2007年4月に宝島社より発売されたムック本の文庫版です。
私は元になった本を読んでいないのでどちらが良いかは分かりませんが、各種サイトの説明を読む限りではとくに代わっているところはなさそうです。
内容を知りたいだけなら、本書をお薦めします。断然安いですし。

本書の内容はひぐらしのなく頃にの全シリーズ(原作にかぎる)の名場面を100あつめ、解説したものです。ひぐらしのなく頃にを一度としてプレイしたことがなくても、あらかたの流れを理解することができます。「『ひぐらしのなく頃に』ってどんな作品なんだろう？」という方にお薦めです。
また、原作をプレイされた方も、本書後半に載っている原作者の製作秘話が読めたりとなかなか楽しめる内容となっています。

ただ、これはあくまで一部分の切り取りにすぎません。ひぐらしのなく頃にの本当の良さを知るには、やはり原作のゲームをプレイすることが大事なのかもしれません。ということもあって、☆を一つ下げさせてもらいました。

まあまあでした。

原作の名場面集ですが、原作をやっていない人でも、話の内容を知っている人(アニメを見た人やiアプリ版をプレイした人)ならそれなりに楽しめると思います。

ただ、話の内容を知らない人にはネタバレ本ですので注意。祭囃し編までちゃんと知ってからのほうがいいです。

昔でた本の文庫版ということで、前書きの説明の情報が結構古いです。
そこが気になったので☆4つ。
