この本の著者の一人でもある長崎満氏は自ら痴漢の容疑をかけられ、最高裁で有罪を宣告され、冤罪事件であるとして、痴漢冤罪防止のNPO活動などを通じで5年間戦ってきた人物であるが、この書物が出版されてほどない昨年車内盗撮容疑でまたもや逮捕されてしまっている。その件についての詳細はつまびらかではない。この本には、「痴漢冤罪」を訴える長崎氏と「痴漢撲滅」に心血を注ぐ石橋氏との間で若干の温度差が見て取れる。長崎氏は、痴漢呼ばわりされ、駅の事務所に連れて行かれたら最後、事情聴取、拘留、逮捕、裁判、有罪判決へと到るベルトコンベアに乗ったも同然と言う。一方、石橋氏は、いくら痴漢を訴えても、そもそも男性社会である警察は女性の訴えなどまともにとりあってくれず、かえって二次被害にあいかねないと言う。どちらも本当だとは思うが、そうした背後にあって痴漢を恒常的に生み出す、社会システム（家父長的社会構造、女性の物象化、ストレス社会、非人間的満員電車、云々）は放置されており、痴漢を巡る「男」対「女」の構図は結局システムを利する結果になるという感覚は編著者の間でおぼろげながら共有されているようだ。私など、まさにその部分が追及されなくてはならないと思うのだが。さらに、ポルノグラフィーと痴漢を結びつけるのは論理の飛躍という気がするし、中吊り広告についても同様である。こういう書物を読むと、経済学者植草氏の一件も冤罪である可能性を否定できないという気すらしてくる。
