嫌な登場人物がひとりも出てこないので、全編とおして　ゆったり
した雰囲気が漂うすてきな小説でした。普段は斜め読みしたりして
しまうのですが、この本は読み終えるのがもったいなくて、わざと
ゆっくり読んでしまいました。

いいかげんな食生活を送っていたのですが、これを読むと　おいしい
サンドイッチやスープを作りたくなりました。
ヒーリング音楽ならぬヒーリング小説という感じです。
さすが暮しの手帖で連載されていただけのことはありますね。
おすすめです。

とても丁寧に作られたサンドイッチと昔の映画を上映する昔堅気の映画館と
素敵な女性とふと食べたくなるラーメンと美味しいスープが出てくるお話。
物語のすじもとても良いけど、それよりも出てくる食べ物
ひとつひとつの丁寧な描写に心躍る本です。
こんなサンドイッチ屋さんがあったら、こんな映画館があったら
と自分の中でこの主人公の住む街への憧れがどんどん増していきます。
本の装丁もとっても素敵。大切にとっておいて日常を雑に暮らしそうに
なったらこの本を開いて、立ち止まり、心を入れなおそうと思います。
ただもっともっと続きを読みたいのに「ぱた」っと終わってしまうので★は４つ。

「本当何もない家でしょう？わたしはね、食べることと、お昼寝と、本を読むことだけ。その他は何もいらないの。」（１９１頁）
４本の脚が見たこともないくらい太くがっしりした大きな食卓も持つあおいさんの言葉。
質素で慎ましやかな生活かもしれない。
でも、時間は豊かに流れてる生活。
そんな時間を共有できる。
紙袋に入ってるサンドイッチ。
離れた席でも匂いに刺激されるスープ。
軽くて薄いものじゃなくて、不器用だけど重くて厚い、食べれば食べるほど美味しいもの。
そんな食べ物を、時間貧乏にならず造りあげてゆっくり食す幸福。
紙袋のガサゴソする音がしそうな、小さな町の物語。
