小学生の頃、どの本よりも夢中になって読んだのがかいけつゾロリシリーズです。
この本も実力では適わないブルル相手（部品を買い占めるあたりが妙にリアル）にゾロリがあの手この手で対抗していてメチャクチャ面白かったです。
藤子不二夫先生といい、こういう小道具の工夫した扱いにおいては日本の漫画家はトップクラスですな。

このシリーズの楽しいところは、例えば本編と直接関係のない扉ページにあみだくじがあったり、「チビ四駆のかいぞうアドバイス」などのおまけページがあるところだ。そこに書かれてあることが細かくて子供たちの好奇心をこれでもかというくらいくすぐってくる。ディテールの細かさという点では、例えばドラえもんの「道具図鑑」などに匹敵するおもしろさを持っているのではないだろうか。

本作は、最後にゴール近くになってブルルの車をストローで吹っ飛ばし、ゾロリがゴールインする。優勝して賞品のスポーツカーをもらえると思っていたら、ただの三輪車だったというところがおもしろい。
