本作に収められた楽曲のほぼすべては、“ある特定の状況下に置かれた人々の独白”であります。
回りくどい説明でよくわかんないかもしれませんが、まあ、演歌みたいなもんだと思って頂ければ良いです。

で、特筆すべきはその“ある特定の状況下”のぶっとび度合いです。
演歌が実際にありそうな、又は想像しやすいシチュエーションを扱っているのに対し、
本作は、「どう考えてもそんな状況はねえ！」又は「しょっぱくて格好悪くてマイナー」なシチュエーションを扱っています。

例えば、
“自室で自家発電をしたいのに、宇宙人が窓から覗いている気がして落ち着かない男”とか
“ファンだったアイドルのニャンニャン写真を雑誌でみつけて夢を裏切られ、アイドルではなくそれを掲載した雑誌を逆恨みする30代男性”とか
“家族全員が映像制作会社のＡＤで、監督に無理難題を出されて毎日死ぬほど忙しく暮らしている家の子供”
といった感じです。

彼らがしょっぱい現実にあがく様を、ロマンポルシェは男らしさ全開の歌詞と、なんかヘンテコな音楽でもって、力技の活写をします。

素晴らしいですよ。

　ジャンル不明。テクノ歌謡曲と説教が交互に繰り返される。
　前作の「孫」がアレだったんで今回も買ってみたんですが、やっぱりアレでした。でも個人的には前作のほうがアレかもしれない。
　今作は「記憶喪失」がたまらないです。アレすぎる。俺も記憶喪失になりたい。

掟さんの家が本当に火事になったのでシャレのつもりで購入したCD。でも聞いてみると、実は僕のツボにハマる音楽だった。説教を抜いて、曲順をかえて入れてローテーションで聞いています。サウンドは８０年代的ゲーム系シンセサイザーサウンドで、矩形波うねうねのシンセベースは中田ヤスタカかといいたいぐらい。シャレ抜きに両者に通底するものがあります。「カンカン踊り」「チャップリンの女」なんて思わずへーーーと思うほどいい曲。おどろいちゃった。「記憶喪失」や「彼氏はサイエンス」はもろに８０年代へのオマージュ。「宇宙人が見ているから」は、今や死語となったアバンギャルドでいい。８０年代シンセサイザー音楽が好きな人は騙されたと思って買ってみてください。ホントいいから。
