この漫画を2巻まで読んだ所で積んでいたゲームをやり直した。
だから先の展開は把握していたものの、4巻はおもしろいんだけどかなり気が滅入る。
何度か読み返してみてもフォウルが呪砲を受けるシーンはどうしても飛ばして読んでしまう。
漫画になって破壊力が倍増していた。

「ゲームは途中で投げたけど話の続きは気になる」「ゲームはやったけどどんな話だったっけ」
そんな人にこの漫画はお勧め。要点だけを抑えながらも丁寧な漫画に仕上がっている。
絵は、正直言うとゲームに比べれば見劣りする。童顔のクレイとか。
漫画としてしっかりしているので絵に関しては慣れれば気にならないと思う。

カプコンさんにはそれまでにせめて、ゲームをPSアーカイブスで配信するかPSPに移植してもらいたいものだけど、多分無さそうだ。
この漫画が終わってしまったら、ブレスオブファイアシリーズは一体どうなってしまうんだろう。

イントロ：
己が運命を知り、迷いを覚えるリュウ。
そんな彼を中心に、子供達を巻き込む惨劇が起きた。
それを成したのは帝国軍人、つまりはヒト･･･。
怒りのあまり、竜の力を暴走させてしまうリュウ。
半身であるフォウルがヒトに対し深い絶望を抱くのに呼応するかのように、リュウもまたヒトという生命への信頼を失いつつあり･･･。
あの名作ゲーム『ブレス・オブ・ファイア4』のコミカライズ第4巻。

さて、フォウル同様リュウもまた悲しみを背負ってしまったわけですが、今回更なる悲劇が彼の心を揺るがします。
ここまで4冊読んできた中ではもっとも辛いお話といって間違いないでしょう。

そういったわけで、今回はかなり重い展開が待ち受けています。
全体的に明るい話や場面がほとんど見られません。
回想の中でのニーナたちの笑顔がまぶしいくらいでしょうか。
（あと相変わらずニーナが幼少期もいまも可愛い）
今更ではありますが、特定の層を狙ったようなキャラ作りやお約束などではなく、物語のある漫画を読みたい人にお薦めですね。

尚、カバー下のおまけ漫画は今回も健在。
明るい話という意味ではカバー下が一番そんな感じかも知れません。
荒んだ本編とは切り離された唯一の安らぎ。
