違う時間、違う常識、その二つを微妙に混ぜてほのかな恋心を掛け合わせた不思議な短編の数々、堪能させていただきました。どっちかというと、一気に読むより、一つ一つを離して読んだ方が良かったかなと読み終わった後に思いました。数年後にふと思い出してしまいそうな、そんなお話が詰まっています。

この小説はライトノベルには珍しく短編集です。その中に掲載されている七つの話は、『時間』ということでテーマが統一されていて、なおかつすべて、いわゆるボーイ・ミーツ・ガールものです。だからといって、同じような内容のものはどれ一つとしてなく、おかしかったり、切なかったりで、話の雰囲気も多種多様です。
個人的に好きな作品は、幼馴染みの少女が、くしゃみをするたびに記憶が退行する奇病にかかってしまう、「おおきくなあれ」という作品です。その病気の名前(ネタバレになるので言えませんが)や、ラストのオチがとても微笑ましいからです。
この本は短編集といっても、一つ一つの話の内容は濃いし、イラストも可愛く、文句なしだと思います。まぁ、難点といえば、人気があるのか、品切れが多く、なかなか書店に置いてないことでしょうか(笑)

　ストーリーは、全部青春ものというか学園もののライトノベルという感じなのですが、読んだ後少し考えてしまう。
　生者と死者、人間と非人間、時間。
　こういう読みようによっては深くもとれるという本が私は大好きなので、妹にも勧めたが、「表紙だけでちょっと」と断られた。ハードカバーか新書にして、風景写真とかを表紙にしたら、大人向けのちょっとほろ苦い小説とかでも売れそうだけど。
　大人でも気にせず読んじゃっていいと思います。amazonで買うとか、図書館でこっそり司書の人にとって来てもらうとかすれば、本棚の前で怪しまれずに済むし。
