２人の女子高生の話
２人の女子高生の日常の話。
そんなありふれた題材、けれどそこが妙にリアル。
推理小説なら事件が起きて当然だけどこの作品はそうじゃない
２人の女子高生の話。
思えば自分も高校時代に何か大きな事件に巻き込まれた事なんてない。
だからリアルだと感じたのかもしれない。
日々の悩みは自分のこと友達のこと家族のこと将来のこと

そして恋のこと。
第三者からみればなんてことないことかもしれないけど
当人からすれば事件中の事件と呼べるもの、恋。
自分の心が誰かに奪われるのだから、自分自身でも知らない自分が出くるのだから。

ありふれた風景画、まさにそう。
ありふれている。誰もが経験したことがあるような事や感情が
誰もが目にしたことがあるような風景が
誰もが抱いたことがあるような不安や焦りが、ここにある。

ありふれているけど、特別。
ありふれているけど、大切。

周子の特異な能力や、男の登場人物の性格などから、
少女漫画をノベライズしたような印象を受けました。

また、主人公である女の子二人の会話がとても多いのですが、
脈絡がないというか、内容がないというか。
普段の何気ない会話と言われればそうかも知れませんが、
全体的にそういう所が多いので、やや飽きてしまいました。

加水という男子高校生が登場し、或る事件に巻き込まれますが、
これはちょっと蛇足ではないかと思いました。
話全体にほとんど絡んでこないのです。
どういう存在意義があったのか未だに不思議です。

あれこれ否定的なことを書いてしまいましたが、
終盤の出雲への旅行のシーンは良かったです。
二人が共に相手を好きあっていることが目に見えてくるようでした。
作者が巧く書いていると思います。

タイトルの言葉は解説に書かれていたものです。
落ちこぼれ高校生が登場する「ガールズ・ブルー」でも、進学校に通う高校生が登場する本作でも、皆、生きることに悩み苦しみます。
それは、誰もが自己に目覚めつつも、物事が思うようにうまくいかず、もがき苦しむ時期だからではないでしょうか。
悩みを乗り越えて自分を受け入れることが出来るようになった時、人の魅力は花開くのだと思います。

普遍的なテーマなので、どの年代の人も共感できる作品だと思います。
