This single is probably Suzumura's rockiest one to date.
And it rocks in every meaning!;)
Suzumura performed a memorable first Anime tie-in with his song "Asunaro", the ED theme of the Anime "Kami-sama no Memo-ch'". Ever since I've heard the theme song in this Anime I was waiting impatiently for the full version of it. It's a perfect combination of rocky tune, smooth, well-paced rhythm and strong vocal.
The second track is a rocky song too, but appears lighter in tone and more acoustic-sounding.
What is remarkable though is Suzumura's different singing style in both songs. From smooth, melodic in the first song to a quite "erratic" singing in the second song. It could be Suzumura's voice acting ability, but I think it's safe to say that he's got a wide range of singing style which makes him fit for almost any kind of music style, be it pop, rock or ballad. It's highly enjoyable listening to his singing voice and there's something about the way how he sings and stretches certain notes.
One word that popped up in my head when I watched the PV is: monotony. And that doesn't mean that the PV itself is boring, but on the contrary. I personally find it very interesting. However as my japanese knowledge is very limited, I better leave it to everyone to make their own impression and interpretation of the PV and the song's meaning.^-^
In conclusion: I give this single a five star plus. Everyone fond of japanese Pop-rock in general will definitely enjoy this single greatly! That I'm sure of! ;)
