　同じ著者の「「夫とはできない」こと」も合わせて読んだ。
　著者のやんわりと不倫容認的なスタンスはどちらにも共通。批判的でもなく、奨励するでもなく、インタビューを受けた人達が割とリラックスして語っている様子が伝わってくるようだ。

　「妻とはできない」こと、というのはつまりは「満足な（素晴らしい？）セックス」のこと（恋愛、ではあるが、セックス抜きでは語れないようだ）。そして、「家庭も愛人も両方大事」という意見の多いこと。それじゃ結婚って何だろう？夫婦っていったいなんなんだろう、？愛って？誠実さって？信頼関係って？と、読んだ後に「？？？」がたくさん残り、意外と、色々考えさせられた一冊であった。

幸せな結婚は夢みるものだし、１番大好きな人と結婚して生涯幸せに暮しました、というお話はもしかしたら、人が作り出したおとぎ話なのかもしれない。同じ人とのセックスは、飽きるものだし、妻が子供の母になれば、そこに恋人に持つようなドキドキとか、恥じらいとかなくなるものなんではないかと思う。だから、現実の男の本音がわかって、とても私には面白い本でした。結婚する前に読んだから、愛が生活に負けないようにがんばろうと思います。

シリーズ化してきた感のあるテーマ「不倫」男の立場から、愛人の立場から、妻の立場から、と来て、「妻とは出来ないこと」とちょっと』苦しい展開。読んでみたら、やはりセックス中心で陳腐な気がした。興ざめ。初めてこの本だけを読むならまあ面白いかもしれないけれど、シリーズとして読み進めていくと飽きる。
不倫を肯定も否定もしないが、これはちょっと好きでない。
