ムック本体の内容はいまさらという感じもあるが、付録のDVDムービーはよくできていて、このためだけでも買う価値があると思う。CG動画52分とあるが本編は約28分で、本編の字幕なし版と映像特典を合わせると52分になるという計算らしい。ちなみに映像特典は既刊3冊（零戦・大和・ティーガー）の「予告編」が数分間のみ。他の海戦も同様のムービーで映像化してほしい。

凄いです。若干硬めではありますが最近の映画より本物っぽく出来てます。 空気感がうまく描けています。空気を描かないといくら凄い映像を作っても凄い作り物にしか見えません。映画で莫大な予算と凄いシステムで仕事出来るCGクリエーターは見習うべき映像です。

　「日米空母決戦」、買ってDVD見ました。あまりのリアルでなめらかな迫真の動きに感動いたしました。カメラワークも最高です。
　書店に並んでいるときは何とも思わなかったのですが、他の双葉社の付属DVDのサンプル版を見て、これは尋常ではないと、すぐ購入に走った次第です。
　私は実機DVDも持っているのですが、栃林さんのムービーの方がより迫力と「らしさ」があって、今は見ることのできない過去の情景を強烈に追体験できます。
　「俺は君のためにこそ死にに行く」は映画館で見ましたが、間延びした人間ドラマに比べ、最期の特攻シーンは妙にリアルだ、あそこだけもう一度見たい、と思っていましたが、栃原さんの作品だとは初めて知りました。また、CGで人物が動くのは滑稽と思っていましたが、この作品では見事にドラマを演じているのに驚きました。
　今度は映画館で栃林さんのリアル映像作品を見てみたいと期待しています。先の大戦をリアルな事実として認識させる絶大な効果があると思います。軍国主義の暗い時代であったとはいえ、たぎる男の生き様のあったことを更に大きなスケールで描いて頂ければ、府抜けた現代の日本人の意識も変わると思います。人物は実写合成で演技のみ監督、その分CGに注力して頂いて・・・などと妄想いたします。
　買って損はありません。久しぶりの傑作です！
