ワルターのベートーヴェンの中でも最もすばらしいのがこの田園だと思います。ワルターの田園は少々大げさなほど濃淡を作る演奏をしていますが、これがはまって、非常に感動的な田園になっています。田園には楽章ごとにタイトルがついていますがそれらのドラマを見事に表現しています。お勧めです。
　ワルターの運命は冒頭の運命の鐘の部分のフェルマータの伸ばしが非常に長いので有名です。正直伸ばしすぎだろwとも思いますが、個性的で面白いので聞き比べてみてください。

5.0 out of 5 stars 「激しさの中の安らぎ」と「静寂の中の激しさ」, 2004/12/19
「激しさの中の安らぎ」は５番、「静寂の中の激しさ」は６番です。自分的には６番の方が好きです、それは「嵐の過ぎ去った後の感謝の祈り」の部分があまりにも美しいからです。５番は第３楽章から第４楽章が好きでフルトベングラー・クライバー等の名演、６番にはベーム等名盤が目白押しですね。どちらも子供から大人まで一度は聴いた音楽だと思います。貴方だけの名盤を探すのも楽しいと思います。ちなみに５番は７人（フルベンで３枚だったかな）６番は２人です・・・ワルター盤は５番６番とも最高です

ワルターの真髄。

第二次大戦後のアメリカでの録音であるが、音質、演奏ともに超特級。
最高のベートーヴェンが聴ける。

「運命」の主題の追求から細部の表現に至るまでワルターの徹底した指示による完成度の高い演奏は恐らくフルトヴェングラーの演奏を超えている。

この演奏は後世に絶大な影響を与えた名演奏である。
そして現在なお黄金の玉座に座し君臨し続けているものだ。

ワルターがモーツアルト指揮者だなんてとんでもない間違いだ。
この演奏は一発で我々を感動の渦に巻き込んでくれる。

この一枚でワルターの信奉者が激増するだろう。

これは人類の永遠の遺産である・・・・・
