久しぶりにすごい本を読んだ。
バスケををやっていたのでＪＢＬはわりとみていたが、アイシンというチームはいつも勝っていて名門で強いところなんだなと見ていたときには思っていた。
本屋で何気なく手にとって見た表紙にアイシンのメンバーがうつっていたので、何も考えずにレジへ持っていった。
家に帰って読んでみて始めてアイシンというチームがわかった気がした。
バスケの本だけど、バスケをやってない人でも絶対読んでみるべきだ。
監督の鈴木貴美一さんの言葉がすごくよかったです。

さまざまな人生（今までの栄光や挫折など）を歩んできたアイシンの選手たちだけでなくさまざまの人のことがきめ細かく書かれていてすごく感動的な本でした

佐古賢一、後藤正規、外山英明、佐藤信長、E.マッカーサーという日本バスケットボール界を引っ張って来たベテラン選手五人の話。それぞれが所属していたチームが不況のため休部、引退を覚悟した五人を拾ったのはアイシンの監督鈴木貴美一だった。この監督のもと五人はチームを日本一へと導くことになる。五人のバスケットボールにかける情熱に同じスポーツをするものとして感銘を受けた。

競技人口の多さの割には興行としてのバスケットボールはまだまだマイナースポーツである。プロ化もされていない。そういったきびしい企業スポーツの現実をみごとに描ききった本だと思う。バスケ好きの人もそうでない人もかなりおもしろく読める本だと思う。
