この盤の再cd化をどれだけ待ち望んだことか！
一曲目の「水の反映」から、音が鳴るたびに空気に色がついて広がってゆくのが見えます。この美しい音で部屋を満たしたくて、ついついボリュームをあげてしまいます。
最終曲「喜びの島」のクライマックスまで夢心地の46分間。
どう考えても“買い”でしょう！

デジタル録音の先駆者日本コロムビアがかってアナログディスクで出していた演奏で、 1975 年の録音ながらデジタル録音（ PCM 録音）。アナログディスク版を模した紙ジャケット入り。
高橋悠治がドビュッシーを弾いても美しくないのではと思ったら、どうして、ドビュッシー独特の響きに満ちたきわめて美しい演奏である。
“そして月は廃寺に落ちる”では鳥肌のたつような美しい響きが、文字通り湧き起こる。録音もまたよくそれを捉えている。
惜しむらくは内容がアナログディスク版そのままなため収録時間が 45' 21" しかないことだ。
もっと聴いていたい。そのくらい素晴らしい演奏である。

ドビュッシー好きなために買ってみたが、全体の印象としてはいまいち。
一番の不満は「雨の庭」と「喜びの島」の2曲。
好きな曲であるだけに残念な印象が強かった。全体の流れとしては大まかに捉えられてはいるものの、細かな表現、音の始末の仕方等にやや粗雑な面を感じた。
喜びの島の最後の盛り上がりはもう少し大きく終わりに向かって持ってきて欲しい。難しい曲ではあるが、そこは落とせないところだと思う。
ドビュッシー独特の音遊びの感じがややかっちり過ぎて逆に不愉快。
