愛の呪縛から逃れられない、苦しみを共有したい。
それは復讐の動機になる。

ジュリエット・ビノシュがちょっと顔を出します。

ジュリエット大好きな私としては、彼女の溢れる魅力を存分に引き出せていたという点では満足です。
が……!出番がスゴク短い!「トリコロール/青の愛」ではビノシュ一人の映画といってもいい位だったのに、今作ではデルピー演じる小悪魔的女性に性的不能を言い渡され離婚されてしまう、男としてダメな亭主が主役の様です。彼女の愛を取り戻す為、復讐ともいえる計画をたて奔走する男の話というべきでしょうか。
男女の矛盾に満ち満ちた愛憎を繊細に描いています。ラストも秀逸。
でも…やはり我らがデルピーの出番が少ないので☆四つです。

どうもこの『トリコロール・シリーズ』はキェシロフスキらしくない演出が目につく。いくら妻のドミニク（ジュリー・デルピー）から不能を理由に一方的に離婚をいいわたされたからといって、自分の偽装葬儀であんなにしおらしい涙をみせてくれれば、自分だったらおそらく許してしまうだろう。まだ愛が残っている相手にあそこまでの復讐を企てるような男にはとても見えないし、収容所にのこのこやってきたカロルを見つけたら、ドミニクが大騒ぎしてもおかしくはない展開だ。いつものキェシロフスキらしい＜優しさ＞を感じることができない、ある意味とても残酷なラストシーンだ。

トリコロールの＜白＝平等＞をモチーフにして作られというが、はたして何と何が（誰と誰が）平等だったのだろう。＜一度死んだ者＞どうしのミクライとカロルなのか？＜裏切られた者＞どうしのカロルとドミニクなのか？ある意味、受動者と能動者の立場が入れ替わる『殺人に関する短いフィルム』や『愛に関する短いフィルム』の方がよっぽど＜平等＞というテーマには即している。残念ながら、この『トリコロール・シリーズ』は他のキェシロフスキ作品に比べると明らかな失敗作である。ラストがはじめにありきのストーリー展開はいずれも話の流れがギクシャクしており、凝縮から昇華へと導かれるカタルシスを感じることができない。
